NUB introduces 'Student Support Loan' for the First Time in BD to Encourage Higher Education for NUB Current & Prospective Students.

Statistics say majority of students in Bangladesh who are dropping out of university and having difficulty in continuing their studies are mostly because of their financial crisis.  To address this drastic issue, Northern University Bangladesh and Bank Asia Limited have taken an amazing initiative of providing ‘Student Support Loan’ (SSL) for NUB Current & Prospective students to encourage higher education in Bangladesh. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between NUB and Bank Asia Limited Today at the Corporate Office of Northern University Bangladesh . Students who are dropping out of semester and have difficulty in continuing their studies due to financial crisis can avail ‘Student Support Loan’ from Bank Asia. After finishing their studies, they pay off their educational loans. Prof. Dr. Abu Yusuf Md. Abdullah, Chairman, Northern University Bangladesh Trust was present as the Chief Guest. Mr. Mahfuzur Rahman, Chairman, ATN Bangla & ATN News , and Mr. Arfan Ali, Additional Managing Director, Bank Asia Ltd. were present as special guests on the occasion.

Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain, Vice Chancellor of NUB was present as a session Chair of the program. Prof. Dr. Nazrul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor (D), Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ekramol Islam, Treasurer, NUB Saad Al Zabir Abdullah, Director of IT & Digital Marketing, Ms. Labiba Abdullah, Director of Finance & Accounts Department, Prof. Dr. Anwarul Karim, Executive Director, BRC on the occasion. Besides, Deans, Departmental Heads, Teachers and Administrative officers were also present in the occasion.
